Checking In

Hi everyone, I hope this post finds you well. Since my last post my family have been unwell and last week I caught a viral infection which saw me in bed with fever for 3 days, grateful to hubby taking time off work to tend to getting kids off to school, chores and cooking because I was in no state to do those duties. Although I'm feeling much improved I may need to go back to the Drs for more antibiotics as I finish the last tablet tonight and I can tell it's not 100% cleared. Anyways I haven't scrapped since last post and probably won't for abit as it's my daughters 7th birthday this weekend and next weekend my parents visit for 2 weeks holiday, looking forward to that. So until I return take care of you :)

Ramblings

Hi everyone, so how has your week been? Mine? not so good, daughter was home 3 days with conjunctivitus & tonsilitis...my 8 year old son is being bullied at school :( we've already met with principal to express our concerns but still it's not a good sign when a week later it's still occurring! Today he is home with sore throat & headache, looking kind of fluey & feeling sorry for himself.
My crafting this week has been up & down...I'm working on a Christmas folio for the mother in law and realised I stuck the font covers upside down...well branches can point downward I guess lol...anyways I can't finish as I'm waiting for the perfect ribbon for it to arrive from UK. I really get quite frustrated with Australia and it's limited designs or lack of compared to other parts of the world, not to mention the pricing...lets not go there lol. But seriously it costs me less to buy & ship from US or UK than to buy just the item here. Speaking of shipping from US my Ecrafter still hasn't arrived...I'm feeling alittle nervous especially since I stumbled upon a site that gives bad reviews of company and rating of the store...(why didn't I find that before I paid & ordered, isn't that the way it goes)
Remember how I mentioned earlier this week I was going to clean & tidy my craftroom well I did with the exception of 'that' cupboard...it's a large cupboard takes up half a wall...but I did open it however when things started coming toward me from all shelves I quickly shut the doors and walked away without looking back lol.
My sister loved her birthday beach bag album and I loved her present to me a stunning black leather tote!

and of course it had to be whilst I'm knee deep in craft from 'that' cupboard lol..which overwhelmed me after an hour so I took a break and made some paper seeing as it was such a lovely sunny morning :)  and here's a pic plus showing my new bag pressie from sis. Ok now I'm back to tossing everything back into 'that' cupboard so I can play with my new 'baby' lol.

Pics & Works in Progress

Hi everyone, as promised a pic of the dies I treated myself to for my birthday last week. Aren't they super cute! Looking forward to using but first I have to wrap up a couple of projects. This one is a clutch purse for my sister...we're both handbag addicts so this is sure to please her I hope.I gathered some lace and put on the back and need to finish the front & strap as well as make photo mats and tags for album so hopefully I'll finish that this week.

I made her a beach bag for her birthday present silly me forgot to take pics :(... which should be delivered today/tomorrow (it's ok to tell you coz she doesn't follow my blog lol) and I had some leftover paper from that so made an explosion box which also needs completing.

and finally a pressie from a girlfriend

I seriously need to tackle my craft room with a vacuum & duster, it's a tad messy plus I want to reorganise it since my snazzy new Canon printer arrived it's taking up alot of space that my ecrafter will sit so I'm going to be busy this week with that & finishing projects. Have a creatively great week too!
 

New Facebook Exclusive

Hi everyone, thank you for your comments they are appreciated. My fanbase on facebook shot over the 200 recently so I thought it high time I gave you fans a new exclusive, here it is today, hopefully you won't have any issues like last time downloading, but I have tested from my personal facebook account and it worked so if it works for me it should for you :) I had a lovely birthday, brought a few things I probably shouldn't have but hey you only get one birthday a year so I just went for it lol...that's my excuse. My friend knows how I'm addicted to anything crafty so her presents usually are that way inclined and she got me a Xyron Creative Station it's the 5 inch one. I didn't let her know I have the 2.5 inch one but it's all good because I'll give the smaller one to the kids, they're forever wanting to borrow it or something from my craft room. I brought a few...well maybe abit more than a few but it was a good deal I thought 22 dies for $99.I'll show you some photos tomorrow as the batteries are flat in my camera, so until then...

Simply Summer Papers 02 Freebie

Hi everyone, thank you for your comments they are appreciated. Here are part 2 of Simply Summer papers for you. I had mild success with my new toy yesterday, managed to cut a flower & a box but it still has some issues so I'm returning it and after finding the top 10 personal cutting machines and reading reviews decided to go with an Ecrafter, it's advantage is no mat, used with or without a pc, I can import SVG files too, so I think this machine will be pefect for me (fingers crossed). Shame I couldn't find one in Australia, I had to order from US and the $100 shipping is almost half the cost of the machine...but it's going to be my birthday present from hubby, he just doesn't know it yet lol.
